A Midsummer Night’s Dream

This week we have been looking at the Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. We have been using our best drama skills to freeze frame the 12 key events from the story.

Our new book to celebrate the memory of our former colleague, Mrs Collenette, who we lost 2 years ago, is Percy Jackson and the lightning thief. Mrs Collenette loved to read and inspired all whom she taught or worked with to do the have this passion.

Science Projects

To celebrate science week, our children have produced an array of different projects.

World book day

Today we celebrated world book day by dressing up as characters from a book. The costumes were great!

Tennis Competition

Today 12 of our Year 5 children took part in our partnership tennis competition. They were competing against mainly Year 6 children and performed really well. We had two 5th places and a 3rd. I was really impressed with our performance and attitude.

 

Well done.

Stargazers

Our new topic is called stargazers and it is predominantly about space. We will be visiting the space centre later this half term to extend our understanding. We have started off by looking at nebulae as they show the cycle of a planet or star from creation to supernova.
